Sharing

The same numbers in both your heads.

Invite your partner to the budget and you both see the same accounts, the same forecast and the same card payments, from any computer. Up to 5 people share a budget at no extra cost.

How sharing works

An online budget is opened with a HouseCrew account (an email address and a password). Invite someone by email; once they've signed in with that address, they accept the invite and the budget appears in their Money, on the web or in the Windows app. Changes show up for everyone.

The person who created the budget is its owner. Members can do everything day to day: import, categorize, schedule, reconcile. The owner can also invite and remove people, and make another member an owner.

Several budgets, if that's how you do it

Plenty of couples keep a joint budget and a personal one each. Each budget has its own members, so one sign-in can see the joint budget and your own, and your partner sees the joint one and theirs.

Private within the family

HouseCrew, the family app, has a household: everyone who lives with you, including kids and the grandparents. Being in the household never gives anyone access to a budget. Only the people you add to a budget can see it.

Or keep it on one PC

Sharing needs the budget kept online. If it's just you, the Windows app can keep the budget on your PC instead, with no account at all. You can copy a budget from your PC to an online one later, when you want to share it.
