How to download transactions from Fifth Third
Where to find Fifth Third’s transaction download, which file to pick, and how to bring it into a budget app without giving it your password.
Checked October 2026
Every bank lets you download your transactions as a file from its website, so you can keep a budget without handing any app your bank password. Banks rename their menus often, so these steps say where to look rather than quoting every label.
The steps
- Sign in at 53.com in a browser.
- Open the account. On its activity, choose Download (or Export).
- Pick the dates and the file type, then download it.
Which file to choose
Quicken (QFX, sometimes called Web Connect) if it’s offered, otherwise the spreadsheet (CSV) file.
Then bring it into HouseCrew Money
Drop the file on Money (or choose Import). A QFX or OFX file names its account, so Money puts it in the right place on its own; a CSV asks you once which column is which and remembers it. Duplicates are skipped, so it doesn't matter if this download overlaps the last one.
How often? Once a week keeps the forecast close to the bank, and takes a minute or two. Pick a date range that starts a few days before your last download.
No download button?
If the bank offers no download, import the statement PDFs instead. Most banks keep them under Statements or Documents.
